Hello World! I hope everyone is recovering well from their holiday hangovers, well fed, well rested and ready to start the new year off right!
Thanks for sticking with me through this little lull, I am attempting to re-vamp the site for the new year, working out some minor bugs and such, please bare with me!
In the meantime, some food for thought:
How are you tackling new years resolutions this year? Are you one who always has the same resolution year after year, "I will floss daily" and falls out 2 weeks into it? How do you plan on avoiding this fall-out this year?
I do not do new years resolutions, for better or worse, I tend to stray away from the added pressure of what I MUST do this year to fulfill a specific desire. Instead, I make lists outlining things I want to do and how I will get there, this becomes an all year long process.
Check it out:

Hi Rupal,
Well...I ate too much!! That's a recurring theme at Christmas - there's just too much food out! I'm ready now, though, to get my focus back on healthy living!
I've really not done much in line with resolutions - because when I have - just like you've said, they usually fall by the wayside shortly into the new year.
What I am trying this year - is choosing one word to guide me through the year. I haven't chosen the word yet (I'll probably write about it once I choose it). It will be one word that I'll use as a focal point throughout the year. This is definitely a new approach, and one I'm very excited about.
I like you you've given yourself specific goals - tied to why they are important. I may add something like this in, as well - thanks for sharing it! I'm thinking specifically related to my exercise routine, which I want to revamp - this could be an excellent way to really make it a habit.
Here's to a great 2009 ahead for you Rupal!
Lance,
I love the idea of a word to help guide your year! It can be an evolving word which keeps a general theme but changes with moods and emotional states. Fab idea.
I think its important to understand WHY you want to achieve a goal and keep it in plain sight to keep you focused and help you make amendments when and if needed.
Hope your new years celebrations are fantastic! Wishing you lots of inspiration & laughter for the new year!

Rupal,
Like Lance I've strayed into the excess food lane for a week now and I'm ready to drag my body back to the healthy way again. My resolution is to increase the amount of vegetables and nuts I eat (I think you did a post on that) for the New Year.
Happy New Year, Rupal!!
Like you, I don't do the resolution thing. Well, once I decided to do a model tri-plane I bought in Moro Bay, California. The instructions are like a small phone book and it's still in the box!
Now, if I feel a change is needed, I just do it! (or not :-)
Tom-- Great resolution! We can always increase our intake of the good stuff :)
Dr J.-- Ha! Sounds like a ton of unfinished projects collecting dust in my house. If at first, second or third you don't succeed, then....oh well ;)
Happy new year to you both!

Happy New Year!
Happy New Year Rupal
Love this! I think its great that there's the explanation "why" for each resolution, too. That's how you can stick with it.
